We have 1.5 FTE staff members, therefore Board members are encouraged to participate in committees and other volunteer opportunities. Board Requirements Board meetings occur monthly on the final Thursday at 5:15. Attendance is expected. Committees usually meet on a monthly basis or 6 times per year. Board representation is also encouraged at events and educational programming functions. Onboarding Board candidates meet with the Nominating committee and/or Executive Director to tour the House and get further information. Evening or weekend Programs are another way for potential board members to see the House and the educational aspects in action. When selected for the board, members receive a handbook and special training session with President and Executive Director.
