Way to Help Title Way to Help Content Homeward Bound (Covington) is an Emergency Shelter for teens ages 11-17 that are homeless or have run away or have been removed from their home due to unsafe conditions. They stay with us short-term to determine their next best place to reside. Homeward Bound is the only emergency shelter for teens in Northern Kentucky and the only one in Kentucky that allows walk-ins. Within three weeks we work to have our teens connected with their next permanent placement. Interacting with our teens through your group is an easy way to make a huge difference in the lives of our teens. Every Thursday, we like to offer our teens a chance to participate in activities organized by volunteers. Groups can host game nights, play video games, and cook and eat with youth. In the past, groups have hosted pizza parties, sororities have led makeup nights, and our boys have been taken to the local gym. You and your group can help one-time, or schedule a recurring visit, like the first Thursday of the month. Staff are always in sight. This is a wonderful way to brighten the lives of our teens.
