Way to Help Title Way to Help Content The kids at Boys and Girls Clubs always look forward to visits from our Homework Helpers! When you are a Homework Helper, you walk through the Blue Doors of BGCGC and are greeted by the front desk attendant. After signing in to the front desk you will be taken to the room with the age group of your choice. You enter a classroom with kids who are excited to see you and want to know all about you! You will either be partnered with a specific Club member or sit with a group at a table. Together, you will work on their homework during what BGCGC calls Power Hour. The Club member may need assistance with a math problem or help reading vocabulary words. You are there to assist them in any way you can, making sure they are understanding their homework and getting it done. You clean up together, remind the Club member how important it is to work on their homework and how excited you are to see them again next week.
