Way to Help Title Way to Help Content 4C for Children invites you to volunteer with our Play & Learn kindergarten readiness program. 4C’s Play & Learn groups, based on the national Kaleidoscope Play & Learn® Program, help children (birth to age 5) learn through play. You spend 15 minutes both setting up before and packing up after each Play & Learn session, assist Play & Learn instructors in modeling appropriate interactions during play and help caregivers build supportive relationships with one another. The target audience for this outreach effort is stay-at-home parents as well as family, friend and neighbor caregivers and the children in their care. Led by a trained facilitator, 4C Play & Learn groups are held in 18 Southwest Ohio, Miami Valley and Northern Kentucky locations. Each group meets twice a month for 90 minutes. View an up-to-date list of meeting locations and times. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one two-hour session each month—but twice monthly is preferred to help establish relationships with Play & Learn participants.
