Way to Help Title Way to Help Content The Literacy Network invites volunteers to tutor students in Kindergarten-6th grade. As a volunteer, you will attend a two-hour training session at the Literacy Network offices, located in the Fox19 building in Queensgate. You will fill out paperwork for a Hamilton County background check and have your photo taken for a Cincinnati Public School volunteer badge. During the training, you will receive information on reading intervention and some suggested activities. You will also give the Literacy Network your availability and preferred location. We will work to match you with your preferred location and ask you commit at least 30 minutes a week. Once matched with a location, the school leads the way, connecting you with a student in need. Children are eager to have the one-on-one assistance with helping them learn to read better. You are a favorite part of their week and they are grateful for your time and energy!
