Volunteers help maintain and beautify the grounds at the Arboretum through Dig in the Dirt days (Tuesday mornings) and our Adopt-a-Collection program (on their own schedule, after completing training).

Through the years, many Boy and Girl Scout Troops have participated in service days at the Arboretum. As these young men and women help beautify the grounds, they are learning the value of service to their community, and the importance of public horticulture.

Help set up, clean up, or serve in a variety of roles during the event.

Become a foster, attend events, raise money for the cats, help care for the cats, play with the cats to love and socialize them, and much more!

Help provide and serve meals for around 40 shelter guests.

Assist with either Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum, or the Ark Encounter.

Whether you’re passionate about the environment, recycling, youth, gardening, or anything else related to a cleaner and greener Covington, we would love to have you be a part of our team!

Adopt your very own spot! This could be your street, a parking lot, your block, a park, a trail, a storm drain, a community gateway, or pretty much any little spot you can think of. Adopt-A-Spot provides Covington residents, business owners, students, or other organizations with the tools you need to help make a difference…

Youth volunteers must be 15 and up to 18 years of age by June 1 and have completed 9th grade. (Must have at least two non-family member references)

After Climate Advocate Training, you are encouraged to connect with your local chapter and jump right in getting involved. Additionally, you are invited to attend CCL’s Core Volunteer Training Series so you can learn specifics in the many ways you can take your climate leadership to the next level with CCL.
