Your training with National Underground Railroad Freedom Center staff and adult docents will prepare them to serve as volunteers throughout the museum’s permanent exhibits and in the community.
You interact with our guests to make them feel welcome and appreciated. We like to know where are guests are from, why they’re here, and what their interested in seeing at our museum.
You can help create an excellent visitor experiences for guests through dialogue, interactive activities, and collaborative learning. Assist with K-12 tours, adult tours and exhibit interpretation for special events.
You can check guests in, answer questions, monitor the floor, work a volunteer booth, and much more.
Opportunities include office support, special events, volunteer cook, direct client support and others.
Create an exhibit for students art, that is also available for sale. (Proceeds go to CATC students)
Work closely with Taking Root staff to help complete administrative tasks such as grant writing, database management (Registree, mailing lists etc.) and other tasks as needed. Need for help will vary depending on current projects.
