Prepare and serve dinner at the shelters Monday through Thursday in Fairmount or Bond Hill. Volunteers can cook dinner at home and heat it upon arrival or cook in our fully equipped kitchens.
Play games, read books, do a variety of arts & crafts or supervise outdoor play.
Become a CASA (A Court Appointed Special Advocate). You’ll be trained as someone who advocates on behalf of the best interest of a child in the foster care system.
Volunteers are needed to provide child care and assist in implementing children’s activities during Nurturing Parenting Programs. By providing free child care to families it eliminates the burden for families to secure child care enabling them to fully focus on the parenting class.
Volunteers are needed to provide curriculum assistance to children’s groups during Nurturing Parenting Programs
Become a trained volunteer and lead classes and support groups.
Assist staff with general duties, and assist with overall office function and organization. Duties will differ based upon the time of year.
Assist with the patient and family when the patient is apprehensive, lonely, or actively dying or in need of the presence of a caring volunteer in inpatient and long term care facilities.
Volunteers support the family and the patient simply by being present and available to assist with questions, special requests and other support as necessary
Greet families and visitors to the unit, escort to patient rooms, give unit tours, make coffee and keep family café tidy.
