Work directly with visitors ensure they feel welcome, informed about the collections and programs, and have an overall positive experience at the museum.
Tasks include greeting visitors, answering questions, and assisting young visitors with activities. Volunteers also help with the general upkeep of the space.
The Corporate Committee partners with companies to share best practices to attract, retain and encourage women in the workplace to reach their full potential.
The Advocacy Committee addresses issues that impact women’s self-sufficiency including researching policies, educating legislators and raising grassroots awareness for our work.
Walk dogs from the adoption kennels. Exercise dogs and teach basic commands and manners.
Coordinate the schedule for the photo team; take photos of adoptable animals; edit photos; submit photos.
Cuddle, pet, brush, and play with cats; Promote adoptable cats to visitors by answering questions and giving information about needs and personalities.
Provide excellent customer service; answer phone calls to main shelter number; greet visitors; accept deliveries; clerical tasks as needed.
Assist staff with a child development program. This may include tutoring, mentoring, or playing games with the students at our Joe Williams Family Center after school program.
