We always have a need for handcrafted items for our gift shop which is a fundraiser for the clinic. Preference is for items than can be priced at $5 or less. Can be for both pets and people.

Volunteering can be as varied as the parks themselves: support conservation efforts, trails, fishing, history, music, birds and wildlife, gardening, photography and natural landscapes. Help at an event or program, in the field, the office, the lodge or the welcome center!
Are you a social butterfly? Volunteer to sit at the HUGS booth at Farmer’s Markets or community events like Operation Pumpkin, where you engage folks, spread the word about the organization, and sell produce.
SELF sends three direct mail pieces a year to generate funding for the agency. Volunteers assist staff with affixing address and return labels and stuffing the envelopes with a personal letter and other mail pieces.
SELF is a co-sponsor for a home repair camp through the Group Workcamps Foundation. The repair project’s success depends on its volunteers. There are many opportunities for involvement in different committees including: site identification, fundraising, volunteer & hospitality and materials.

Volunteers are needed to assist SELF staff with securing corporate sponsorships and donations for the live and silent auctions or raffle baskets. Volunteers may also help with invites, decorations, setup, production and cleanup. Any interested individuals and group representatives with some fundraising experience or an interest in fundraising are encouraged to join.
Welcome Home Kits are created for our clients who are in the process of obtaining permanent housing or given as raffle door prizes to low-income families at social service fairs. Volunteers who work in the gardens at Pyramid Hill keep the park looking sublime! We need volunteers to help us weed, plant, and prune the many gardens and landscaping throughout the park. Garden volunteers can work during any of our regular park hours.
